Customer experienced discrimination and was denied service at the salon.

To clarify, The Lane Salon has a no-dog policy, which is communicated at booking and in appointment confirmations, as required by our lease agreement with our building landlord. We always welcome clients with service animals, in full compliance with the law. In this case, your dog was described as a rescue pet, not a service animal, and we kindly reiterated our policy. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for helping us maintain a comfortable environment for all guests.

We gently pointed out that we would do our best for now but that for the long term protection of your hair, it would not be in a condition to highlight until next year when all the damage has been cut off and you’ve grown new hair. Until then the overall plan was to do treatments, haircuts, and slowly add darker pieces to help blend the damage. The first step was to do a color correction of blending in darker pieces through the broken blonde to help you grow out your hair to a healthy state. Obviously, we were not clear with our plan and we appreciate your comments.
